SUMMARY:Final Stakeholder Workshop: CityCLIM
DESCRIPTION:                Registration (click here) \nWe are pleased to invite you to the final stakeholder workshop of the project “CityCLIM” on September 12\, 2024. The workshop starts at 14:00\, online. \nIn a world of changing environmental conditions\, sustainable and effective urban adaptation strategies are crucial. Developing these strategies requires accessible technical solutions that support informed decision-making for city planning. Key capabilities include the acquisition\, management\, processing\, and presentation of application-specific geodata. \nAnyone interested in or working on tangible solutions to improve the habitability of cities is welcome to CityCLIM’s final stakeholder workshop. In this workshop\, we will present the advanced prototypes of the CityCLIM services which were developed to support citizens and city administrations in coping with urban heat and pollution: \n\nClimate Information Services: Information on heat waves and pollution for the next 2 days based on a 100m-resolution advanced weather model\nIdentification Services: Identification of Urban Heat Islands\, City Air Flow and Pollution Area\nSimulation and Mitigation Strategies Services: Services focussing on urban heat\, air flow and pollution where users can simulate own scenarios\nCitizen Weather Sensation Service: A map view where users indicate their comfort temperature ranges to identify comfortable places in the city\n\nUp-to-date information on the workshop can be found here on the website.
