IIMEO proudly took part in the GEO Global Forum 2025, which took place in Rome, Italy from May 5 to 9 under the inspiring theme “The Earth Talks.” The event brought together leaders, experts, and citizens to explore how Earth data can help solve global challenges—like food security, ecosystem restoration, disaster prevention, and climate change—while supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of the conference, Project IIMEO was featured with an E-Poster displayed at the Copernicus booth, showcasing the project’s innovative contributions to Earth observation and sustainability.

Andreas Weihusen from OHB attended an engaging session on Earth Observation (EO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as a presentation on “EO Monitoring of Critical Infrastructures.” He actively participated in a thought-provoking discussion on this emerging topic.

IIMEO’s presence at the forum highlighted its commitment to advancing EO technologies and fostering international collaboration for a more resilient and informed future.
